The story begins in 1897 in Kolín, where the Vavruška family started producing soda water. When Otakar Vavruška bought a house with the right to produce soda water in 1912, he added his own syrups made from family recipes. It was the draught raspberry soda that became their signature product — at a time when nobody else made it properly, they bet the whole business on it. The secret lies in the production: the water is cooled to four degrees, deaerated, sprayed into a mist and only then is CO₂ and syrup added under pressure. Today the company is run by the fifth generation of the Vavruška family.
